Mary E. Goodenow

Mary Goodenow is:

Mary received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Lamar University with a minor in Special Education and Master of Education from the University of North Texas specializing in Reading.  She is a certified Educational Diagnostician, Reading/Learning Disability Specialist and has Advanced Certification in Brain Training. Mary has over 30 years’ experience as a Diagnostician, Reading/Learning Disability Specialist and classroom teacher.

For the past 5 years, Mary has focused on providing Brain Training and Psycho-Educational Evaluations.  She specializes in working with children, adolescents, college students, and adults in the areas of ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities, Auditory and Visual Processing Disorders, brain injuries and all academic and work related challenges.

Mary is active in the community and professionally having served as an officer on two boards: the Association for Independent Living (AFIL), a group home located in Dallas for mentally challenged adults, and the Dal-Metro Chapter of the Texas Educational Diagnosticians Association. She has professional affiliations with: CEC, CEDS, NCED, TPED, TEDA, LDA, IDA and CHADD.

Mary lives in Dallas with her husband, George, and son, LG.  In her free time, Mary enjoys family activities, reading, photography, traveling and the Visual and Performing Arts.
